Era: The tobacco jar is from the early 20th century, around 1920, a period when Royal Doulton was well-established as a premier British ceramics manufacturer.

George Robey: A famous British comedian and music hall performer of that era, often referred to as “The Prime Minister of Mirth.”

Design: The jar typically features a caricatured representation of George Robey, reflecting the popular style of novelty items of the time.

Material: Made from fine ceramic, a hallmark of Royal Doulton’s craftsmanship.

Signature: Signed in gold, which adds to its rarity and value. This indicates it was a special edition or part of a limited series.

Rarity: Limited editions and novelty items from this period are highly sought after by collectors.

Condition: The value significantly depends on the condition—any chips, cracks, or restoration can affect its worth.

Market Trends: Items like this can vary in value based on market demand, provenance, and the specific details of the piece.
